Today, Zack got his shiny, new braces. He laid in the chair for about 2 hours while the brackets were cemented onto his teeth. He was a trooper. He kept feeling the braces with his fingers and tongue. It will take some getting used to. He is experiencing some pain tonight and has been sucking on ice and taking some ibuprofen. They put a turbo bite behind the back of his top front teeth so he won't knock his bottom braces off. Makes sense. This is temporary until the teeth move a bit. The weird part is that by doing this, his back molars don't connect, making chewing a bit difficult. The molars are going to shift into place and regular chewing will resume. That makes it a challenge find dinners he can eat. I guess I can get the blender out and mix up a dinner shake. Mmmmm.....

Well done...and good luck! Cameron goes in on Thrusday for his...gfinally. Jill finished hers in May.
Dinner shakes sound disgusting. Good luck with that whole braces thing...not a good time (your mom and I would know).
Yeah! Braces! No more popcorn, sticky candy, gum...Sydney can give you a more comprehensive list - heehee! Good luck!
Zack has to hold out for real milk shakes, Ice cream and goodies! Your mom and Uncle Glenn got their share with each sdjustment.
Ahhh! What a cutie pie:)
Ah, all grown up and getting braces. Poor kid. How long will he have them?
I hope that by now the pain has gone away somewhat. I remember that feeling--and how it came back each time I had my braces tightened! It will all be worth it though. (And P.S. I ate popcorn AND gum and never broke anything! :) )
