Today, the sun was shining brightly. The cats both like to lay in the sunshine on our dresser or bed. Powder made herself comfortable and stretched out on the dresser. A short time later, we smelled burning hair. The sun shone in the window, reflected off my small vanity mirror onto Powder. The heat reflecting off that mirror singed her hair. Oh the burning hair was smelly, but she was unharmed. We were glad she was there instead of a blanket or something else that could have caught fire. She saved our lives and prevented a house fire :) She has earned herself the new nickname of Scorch.
