Nicole decided for her birthday this year she wanted to swim in the Utah Summer Games. Every June in Cedar City (3 hours south) the Utah Summer Games are held at Southern Utah University. The games involve basketball, soccer, running, and more. Nicole wanted to compete in the swim meet. Nicole and I drove down Thursday morning so she could compete in Day 1 of the meet. It was fun because people from all over the state were present to compete. She swam the 200 Free, 100 Back, and 50 Breast events the first day. This is long course season so each event is in meters.
Friday was Day 2 and she swam 4 events, 200 Breast, 100 Back, 50 Free, and 50 Fly. Overall, she did well and had a great time. Her highest level was 5th place in the 200 Freestyle event. It was a nice girls' weekend and a nice getaway. She has already started planning for the Summer Games next year.
