The U.S. Women's National Team came to play an exhibition game against Mexico at the RioT last week. We were very excited to attend. Nicole ended up ditching us for her Homecoming date, so Zack invited a fill in Fleming. (Our go to replacement Fleming is serving a mission in DC.) The game was even better than we expected. Our first goal was an own goal scored by a Mexican player. We continued to dominate the game an crushed them in an 8-0 shutout. The U.S. goalie, Hope Solo, broke a record for the most shutouts on the U.S. women's team.

Who knew that less than 1 week later, we would witness another blowout. RSL hosted Colorado Friday night. Both teams came out with high energy, but in the end, RSL dominated and won 5-1. We witnessed another own goal and some spectacular play. It was one of those games where the team just seemed to click and was so fun to watch.
