Happy Birthday.....late!

We finally had the time and opportunity to make Nicole's birthday cake this weekend. She turned 18 on April 4th. We had just returned from our trip to St. George that evening and had a celebratory dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. Yum! The following day, she had her wisdom teeth pulled. We had to wait a couple weeks until her mouth healed enough to eat and truly enjoy the cake. However, the weekend we hoped to make it, Julie was sick the following weekend, and then there was prom. Finally, we had an open weekend. Nicole decided she wanted a "Starry Starry Night" cake based on the Van Gogh painting.

Nicole said it was like painting with acrylic paint...which she has done a lot this year.
