Ohio

I took a week and went to Ohio to visit family and help my mom start clean out and organize. She is trying to go through almost 40 years of piles and boxes so she can hopefully downsize. We started in the basement. We had garbage, recycle, garage sale, keep, and possible collector's items to price. Many of the boxes were emptied and sorted with Becca coming to help each day. We found reel to reel tapes my Dad had kept and recorded shows on from the 1950s! Now she has the daunting task to finish the job and have a garage sale. I only wish we could have done more.

We didn't just clean and organize, we spent time with the rest of the family. I am soooooo excited to have my 3 nieces and nephew out here for school! I am already hoping they visit often.

My Mom and I went to Brown Bag Burgers for lunch after she bought a new laptop. Yum! Love their burgers.

The "wildlife" that walks around the neighborhood. I can't believe hos they act so tame and seem to "watch" for the cars before they cross. Crazy. This picture was taken out my Mom's front window.
Watched Andrew's last baseball game of the season. He played short stop and center field.
We went to see Brooke perform the role of Dorthy in The Wizard of Oz. I don't have any pictures, tho. :( She did a fantastic job. She certainly has a great talent for acting and drama.
It isn't a summer trip to Wesltake without a trip to Mitchell's ice cream. We went while Emma was working. I bet Leah is sad we didn't visit her at her work, too. ;)
 So delicious!
On Saturday, my Mom gave the opening talk for the Family History themed Akron Stake Youth Conference. After the talked, the youth rotated in for class sessions to try and find a name to take to the temple. Andrew and I went with to support and help her. We were supposed to help more with the youth on the computers, but they had so many volunteers, they didn't need us. It was impressive to see all the helpers.
The miraculous thing was we only had a little rain on Sunday. It was my fault. I jinxed it. I had sent Zack an email with the beach pictures and told him that we hadn't had a drop of rain. Sure enough, it rained the next day.
On Saturday night, the rest of the family had other obligations so it was just Mom and me. We went to the beach to watch the sunset. One of my happy places. I love the beach, but there is always something about sunsets over water. I am now going to post a lot of those pictures because I love them. You do not have to look at all of them. :)
