7th graders only

Today was Zack's first day in junior high. It was the 7th grader only day. I think this is a great idea. They are able to adjust and try out the school without the older kids there. He said he thought junior high will be much better than elementary school--a good sign. He really likes having a locker. He said his teachers all seem like they really care. He was also very impressed with the vending machines and choices at lunchtime.

I did not take a picture of him since Monday is his first "official" day. I will try to get one then. I did take a picture of the back to school cupcakes I made as a surprise treat for him when he came home. Nicole was my accomplice. (I got the idea from Family Fun Magazine)

My only complaint is the start of school. August 15th, I mean , really? Nicole starts on the 18th. I think both days are incredibly early. Where did summer go?!
