Today is Zack's 13th birthday! I have a teenager now. Hard to believe, but very exciting. I made him a springschmidz cake for our family celebration with Grandma and Grandpa. Actually, Nicole was the official frosting taster and sprinkle applier. 
Springschmidz is a reference to a comedy routine by Brian Regan involving a donut lady, a lunatic, and a special kind of donut. Zack became a huge Brian Regan fan this summer with the assistance of Uncle Glenn. (For those of you who don't know Brian Regan http://www.brianregan.com/, he is a very funny comedian )
Next weekend, he will have his party with a few friends and I will make him a different cake. I am thinking lego or long board cake. Any other ideas?
