Going for a Walk

Our family is once again involved in the local Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance walkathon. The last walk took place less than 2 weeks after Nicole's brain surgery. The surgery seems so long ago.
This picture was taken during the last walkathon. We had a fabulous face painter come to the walk and do these intricate, amazing face paintings. (She will be there again if you are interested in coming :) )
So, here is the plug for the walk:
The Step Forward to Cure Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Walkathon

It does not cost anything to come and walk. Donations to the TS Alliance are appreciated and all the money goes directly to TSC research.

Tuberous Sclerosis is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form in many organs of the body primarily the brain, eyes, heart, skin, kidneys, liver, and lungs. Most people with TSC have tumor involvement in multiple organs of the body. The severity of TSC ranges from mild to severe. Symptoms include seizures, mental retardation, autism, cognitive and behavioral disorders, lung problems, and kidney failure, just to name a few. ; Although TSC is a genetic disorder, two thirds of those affected have no previous family history of TSC. At least 2 children are born each day in the US with TSC. Currently, there is no cure. To learn more about Tuberous Sclerosis Complex you can go to http://www.tsalliance.org/
Donations can be made to our fundraising page for Nicole's Fans at www.firstgiving.com/nicolefleming2

Thanks!!!
