A Day of Boating

We were lucky enough to go boating at the Jordanelle Reservoir last Friday. They broke out the wake board which none of us have done before. Nicole was the first one to give it a shot. She tried multiple times and got up for a split second.

Zack tried after watching his mom. He was able to get up after 1-2 tries and stayed up. He got up a few more times. If the water hadn't been so cold, he probably would have stayed out longer. Yes, he has no fat on him to keep him warm in the cold mountain water.

Our friend, D helps with the flag. :)

I decided to give it a try. I have never before been able get up in multiple water skiing attempts and had given up. I assumed I would not get up this time, either. Well, I think I had fabulous teachers this time. I was able to finally get up and stayed up for a short time. It was a great feeling.

Can you see the smile on my face? :)

Keith had his turn. Naturally, he was able to get up after a couple initial attempts. He was up for quite a while. We were all successful in our first attempts.

Zack and D go for a ride on the "horsey" or inflatable sea do.

Love the wave from D!

Nicole took 2 turns on the sea do and was difficult to knock off. She used her counter measures to stay on.

Nicole took most of the pictures. We ended up with a lot of splashing water. She may need some training in focusing on the subject. This water picture was supposed to be Keith.
We had little sunburn, just a few foreheads and ears, and some sore muscles, but it was worth it. It sure makes us want to buy a boat! Thanks, Sarah and D, we had a blast with you!
