After chronic issues with my teeth, I had a tooth extracted in May. After this healed, I had a post inserted in preparation for a dental implant. Unfortunately, my mouth did not handle this well had I had a lot of pain and infection in that area following the post procedure. On top of this, I had this cold and sinus infection that would not quit. On September 7th, Real Salt Lake had a home game against the LA Galaxy (I HATE LA,) but love my team and was excited for the game. Sadly, my mouth was not doing well, and I was feeling exhausted with the cold. I decided to sacrifice my mental and emotional health for my physical health. My pity party over missing the game extended to my dinner. I had gone to the store to pick up yet another prescription and got some treats for breakfast. After Keith left for the game, I decided to eat my breakfast treats for dinner.
This was the dinner of champions that night. It was good.
In the end, I was able to get a good night's sleep and know it was good for me to stay home. Tyler benefited greatly since he was able to use my ticket to watch a great game. We tied LA 3-3. This was the type of game where the tie felt like a win.
