Last Full Day

One of the reasons we stayed on Monday was so we could take a tour of the Pentagon. You have to schedule the tour a minimum of 2 weeks in advance in order for a background screening to be conducted. There were some interesting facts shared while we toured and we could not take pictures inside during the tour.
This was in the area where we waited for our tour.
Last time, we didn't make it to the Iwo Jima statue and we decided this time it was must see. We rented bikes for this day to get around and see the sights we wanted to see.

We headed back to the National Mall and stopped by the WWII, Lincoln, and Jefferson Memorials. Love the bike rental system there.

Weird to see airplanes fly so close to the monuments.
While we were at the Jefferson Memorial, 3 helicopters came by and landed at the White House. When we rode our bikes back across the bridge, there was a secret serviceman guarding the bridge with a big gun. Kind of a cool thing we don't get to see every day.
