Usually, Keith and I have a plan. We do some little trick on the kids. One year, we fed the kids spaghetti or dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner. Another year, we switched the kids while they were sleeping. Zack woke up in Nicole's bed and Nicole woke up in Zack's bed. We made dinner of chocolate rice krispies as meatloaf, ice cream to look like mashed potatoes, and caramel sauce as gravy. It has been a fun tradition.
This year, we dropped the ball. I was not prepared to do anything. To our surprise, Nicole picked up the ball. I came out in the morning to get breakfast ready. I grabbed my Cheerios and went to pour them in my bowl. Only, sugar corn puffs came out instead. Someone switched the cereal bags. When grabbing the door knob to open the closet, I got a handful of Vaseline. Some cute little girl thought it would be funny to put Vaseline on a few random door knobs.
Keith did short sheet Nicole's bed. Zack lived in fear all day waiting for an April Fool's trick. It was funny to watch him--almost as good as doing a trick.
I do have some good ideas for next year.

I didn't know you guys did that! Cute ideas! I don't think it's fair for you that April Fools fell on a school day :) But I'm glad Nicole picked up the slack. Oh and Happy Birthday Nicole!!! I was thinking about her a couple of times yesterday and hope she had a great birthday.
