The car is in the garage, a good thing in the winter. All appears to be well. Unfortunately, the garage door will not open. Hmmmmmm....could it be frozen to the ground? That happens sometimes. After pouring some hot water along the bottom, the door will still not open. Hmmmm.....wait, why is the cable hanging on the side of the door? That spring is not supposed to be two pieces! Grumble. One car trapped in the garage and one on the outside until the garage door repairman can save the day.

"Grumbled..." haha The other day we were leaving from my aunt's house and we left through the garage. She shut the door after we left and Edin asked "Why she shut a door?" "To keep her car warm." "Car warm?" It was at the moment when I felt like my poor kids were deprived a little. Edin didn't know what a garage was.
Ours broke a month or two ago. I know a great garage door guy, if you need a suggestion.
I am still surprised when things go wrong--like a 15 year old garage door spring. I expect the house to think it is still new. I think of it that way still...15 years later. DOH!
