Saved by the bell
The bell curve, you've heard of it. It is a wonderful thing; just ask Zack. Zack was saved from a C in Algebra because his teacher grades on the curve. He was very stressed and scrambling to find any way to bring up his grade the past few weeks before the end of the quarter. In our house, a C means you are grounded--no TV, no friends, no computer, and no video games--until your next report card shows a better grade. Perhaps you think that is harsh. However, my children are too smart for Cs especially when the grade is low because of late or not handed in assignments. Zack was walking around in a state of doom and gloom. On Friday, he had a 79%, but a B- on the official report. He was truly saved by the bell curve.
