Hello, Sage Hills!

I am officially a 3rd grade teacher at Sage Hills Elementary School. I interviewed Monday morning and was offered the job on Tuesday morning. I was surprised, thrilled, and immediately accepted the offer. Teaching jobs are scarce this year and there are about 100 applicants for every available position. I was so grateful to have the chance to interview. (Thank you, Helen!) I am so excited to be teaching one of my favorite grades. Sage Hills is a new school that has only been open 1 year.
This window belongs to my classroom. Sage Hills has the best view of any elementary school I have ever seen. That is Utah Lake and the majestic Wasatch Mountains accross the lake. My window has a view of the side parking lot. I can hardly wait until I can set up my room and meet my students. I feel like a kid at Christmas!

Andrew has decided he would like to come to Utah next year so that you can be his 3rd grade teacher. He would like to have you as a teacher because her knows you would give him extra worksheets instead of making him do silent reading. (And by the way, we are all proud of you! Congratulations!)
