Nicole had her 14th birthday on April 4th. She was very excited to reach the age to attend dances with her friends now. All she wanted for her birthday were books. She has a ginormous, ongoing list of books. She used her birthday money and gift cards to help buy a Nook. She can buy books on her list for her Nook for as low as $ .99. She was thrilled.
Zack was equally or even more excited for Nicole's birthday since it marks the date that he is 16 1/2 years old. In Utah, he can now legally drive with friends in the car without mom and dad.
As a side note, Nicole tried out for the high school swim team and made it. She will be a Freshman in junior high next year still, but can compete on the high school level. This accomplishment also pushed her up a level on the Lehi Frenzy club team. Now, she swims daily from 4-6 p.m. When school starts next year, she will swim daily with dry land work outs on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays at 5:30 a.m. That will take some serious dedication--from all of us ;).

Her swim cake was SO cute! I LOVE that Nicole will be swimming for the High school--another chance to see you guys. Jill has one more year(!)but will swim with HAST for practice and compete with PGHS. She couldn't fit the swim team class in her schedule.
Let me know how the hanging tomatoes go this year...I've been thinking of that, but keep doing what I always do. Cam did rototill my strawberries under--on accident (they were covered with dead leaves)--so I had to upgrade my strawberry plants this week. Tomatoes will go in Mother's Day weekend.
Have you had the chance to get away this week? Spring break get away? We just got our french door replaced on the dining room, and had a lot of lazy time. It was actually kind of nice. Jill still had UVU classes so we were stuck here through the break.
