The 4th

On the 4th of July, we traveled to Carters for some yummy barbecue, games, and just spending time with the family. It was great to have all the brothers and sisters there and we enjoyed visiting with those who live far away. The adults played horseshoes and some pinochle. The kids even got in a game of volleyball in the heat.

We left before s'mores and fireworks in order to make it to the Real game that night. They played the Seattle Sounders and the game ended in a draw. Much better than some of their games we had been watching. They played to a sold out standing room only crowd.  They had a fireworks show afterwards that were far superior to last year's show.

All in all, it was a very fun day. :)
