Utah Summer Games 2016

For her 18th birthday, Nicole once again wanted to swim in the Utah Summer Games. This could possibly be her last time swimming in this meet. (unless she decides to try the Master's group next year.) So, we took a trip down to Cedar City. It was nice to get away as a family.

We had our traditional Jimmy John's lunch on the first day. For some reason, we always eat there on Day 1. The past 2 years we have sent the picture to Zack to see if he remembers what sandwiches they are. He said he even remembers what goes on both of them.
On our drive in to Cedar City, you could see the temple being built there as if it was up on a bluff. One morning, we decided to drive around in search of it and take some pictures. It was a beautiful sunny day with beautiful blue skies. I love Utah skies!
Nicole swam all 3 days in freestyle and breast stroke. She earned 4th place in each race.
Julie was able to visit with her friend and previous coworker, Jenne. (we taught 3rd grade together for 2 years) It is always fun to visit and see her
Friday night, we drove down to St. George to see Keifer and her boyfriend, Cade. We took them out to eat at Limone Pizza.Yummmmmm
We drove up the canyon and hit cloud level. The way up was cloudy and dreary. You can see the cloud sitting on the mountains.
As we drove back down, the skies cleared and it was beautiful once again. Good times.
