New Shutters

Last fall, we had a very strong wind and rain storm. The wind is common in Lehi; the rain not so much. It is common to find things that have blown into our yard or to find things missing. (Some of you have experienced this first hand.)The next morning we found a shutter on our front step. Certain that it belonged to a neighbor, we walked over to return it. No, it wasn't theirs, but on our walk back home, we noticed Nicole's room was missing one of her shutters. We removed the other shutter because a one shuttered window looks bad.

We had talked about making new shutters and this provided the perfect opportunity. We went to the store to choose wood. In May, yes, about 7-8 months later, another storm hit blowing a shutter off the garage. Finally, in June, the shutters were completed and put on the house. I give Keith a hard time because of the 7-8 month time frame, but in his defense, the winter was long and who wants to work in a cold garage.

The shutters look great, though. Now, we need a new door to match.

I am glad we got to see those shutters in person! They look great!

In my defense, I had to make a few prototypes and do some research beforehand. :\
