Zack went to his first scout camp this past week. He was gone for 6 days. On day 5, the families are invited to attend family night where you can watch a program with your scout. I am not sure whose brilliant idea it is to have that on the last night of scout camp when all the boys are ripe. I don't find that to be the smartest choice. The boys were told by their leaders that they had to shower
at least twice while there. Zack proudly informed me he had showered twice--Monday and Tuesday. We then got to pack into the ampitheater with a bunch of smelly scouts. Yummm....In spite of the smell, it was really nice to see him and know he was having a great time.
Anyway, our ward had 19 boys attend camp. Amazingly, they all got along. The top picture shows them doing a "trust jump" into each others arms. As we were waiting for the festivities to begin, we watched as some of the boys ran and jumped into each others arms. This picture shows Zack jumping into their arms.

After the program, it was very dark and we did not have a flashlight. Don't tell, but we were not prepared! ;) Keith told the kids to stay together. As we caught up behind them, we saw them holding hands to stay together. They missed each other!
Zack survived scout camp. He came home and took a 2 hour nap Saturday morning. We had to wake him up at noon. He was the only scout to earn $18 while he was there and almost become engaged! But, that is a different post.
not sure why the photo cut off for the post. Oh well....
