Keith was doing some work in the basement today. He ended up needing to pull out some of the toys and boxes from the storage closet. In all the stuff he pulled out, the kids rediscovered their old house. Santa brought this to them years ago. It was a great present. We used to set it up outside on good weather days. We had it up in the basement in the colder months and it rarely came down. They used to put their little kitchen set in there and really play. Zack even had a sleepover where he and his friend slept inside of it years ago.
Today, it was fun to watch them get their chairs and try to set up the inside of the house again. Naturally, Zack wanted to bring in all of his Nerf guns to make an armory. Nicole refused because guns do not furnish a house. They were able to cooperate and figure out a better way to furnish the house. They even put cat beds inside so the cats would join them. Now, I am just waiting for them to ask if they can get out their sleeping bags....

Those are good toys that can keep their attention even after being "out of sight" for a while. I love those kind. Makes me wonder what I have stashed away that I could pull out for my two monkeys this week.
