At the beginning of the summer, Nicole wiped out on her bike. She was riding in the
cul-
de-sac near our house. This
cul-
de-sac is sloped, a little more steep than expected, and there is a collection of gravel towards the bottom. She scraped up both knees and elbows. The doctor pulled a piece of gravel out of one knee and gave her 10 stitches. She still has the scars on her knees.

Friday evening, Zack decided to ride the scooter down to a neighbor's house who lives at the bottom of the same
cul-
de-sac. As he rode down the slope, he realized he was going too fast and would not be able to slow down in time. So, he jumped off, had the wind knocked out of him for a few seconds, and scraped himself. Thankfully, he needed no stitches, just ibuprofen and some
neosporin. One more wipe out to end the summer.
